Summary

This position is responsible for the protection, safeguarding, and security of personnel and property at the company’s cultivation facility licensed by the State of New Jersey under its Cannabis Regulatory Commission.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

● Implement and enforce policies and procedures relating to facility safety and security;

● Monitor facility interior and exterior to deter and address conditions and conduct that pose a risk to safety or property or breaches company safety and security standards;

● Protect products and property from criminal diversion, theft, fire and loss;

● Investigate, document and report accidents, incidents, suspicious activities, safety and fire hazards and ensure Company’s compliance with state security regulations for marijuana dispensaries;

● Mitigate and de-escalate risky behaviors and communicate sensitively with company staff in all necessary interactions;

● Maintain and post all required registrations, licenses; and notices;

● Train staff regarding state safety and security regulations and procedures; and

● Perform such other duties as may be assigned by Director of Security and/or General Manager.

Preferred Qualifications and Education Requirements

Preferred:

· Prior experience as sworn law enforcement professional or military service;

· Prior experience in security capacity for state-licensed marijuana business;

Required:

· Candidates must:

o Hold and maintain New Jersey security guard license with a firearms (“Red Card”) endorsement;

o Possess and maintain their own New Jersey-licensed handgun to be carried for job duties as directed;

· Bachelor’s Degree;

· State and company background clearances;

· Ability to promptly gain working knowledge and implement detailed security standards in highly regulated industry;

· Ability to communicate effectively with staff, patients, regulators and invitees in furtherance of duties.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 45 per week
